STAR CREATION NEW ASIAN DESIGNER CONTEST

Singapore Tourism Board organised the Star Creation 2012 Showcase on Christmas Day at Siam Center. The fashion showcase presented a collection of outfits from two Thai designers who were among 12 finalists for Star Creation 2011; Maythar Thadavi and Karn Karnjanamai. 2012’s competition is now open to entries under the theme “Fashion without Frontiers”. The showcase was presented by Thai teen star, Kao Jirayu, who welcomed media guests, representatives from the fashion industry and enthralled members of the public.

Star Creation is the ultimate invitation to join an international fashion event, giving young designers in Thailand the chance to show the world what they are capable of. Participants must be Asian Citizens between 16 – 35 years old and must not have more than 2 years of experience in the fashion industry. Three top winners will emerge to claim a prize of 10,000 SGD each, plus a 12-month internship with leading fashion retailer FJ Benjamin (Singapore), and perhaps most importantly, the chance to launch their own collections.
